Watch: Yoon Shi Yoon Is Swept Up In Serial Killer Case After A Fateful Encounter In “Psychopath Diary” Teaser

tvN’s upcoming drama “Psychopath Diary” has shared an intriguing new teaser!

The newly released clip begins by showing a day in the life of Yook Dong Shik (played by Yoon Shi Yoon), a timid pushover who is unable to speak up for himself. When his boss curses at him and even kicks him in the shin at work, Yook Dong Shik keeps his eyes fixed on the floor as he meekly replies, “I’m sorry.”

The video then shows Yook Dong Shik stepping onto the roof of a building with tears in his eyes, seemingly contemplating suicide as he says in voice-over: “It isn’t that I wanted to go through life suffering this kind of abuse.”

However, things take an unexpected turn when Yook Dong Shik witnesses the director of his company, Seo In Woo (played by Park Sung Hoon), committing a murder. As the victim pleads with his killer to let him live, Seo In Woo’s red diary somehow ends up falling at Yook Dong Shik’s feet, and he picks it up before escaping to flee the scene.

He doesn’t get far, though—neighborhood cop Shim Bo Kyung (played by Jung In Sun) accidentally hits him with her car, and when Yook Dong Shik wakes up in the hospital, the doctor announces, “He has retrograde amnesia.” Before he leaves, Shim Bo Kyung hands him Seo In Woo’s diary and tells him, “I think this is your diary. It seems like it fell in the car.”

After reading Seo In Woo’s journal detailing his gory murders, Yook Dong Shik exclaims in shock, “To think I’m a psychopathic serial killer!” At the same time, Shim Bo Kyung makes her own observations about the case, describing the murderer as “a psychopath who takes pleasure in killing people and disguising it as suicide.” The clip then cuts to Seo In Woo saying with a creepy smile, “Actually, I have a secret hobby.”

Finally, Yook Dong Shik wears a chilling smile of his own as he declares in voice-over, “This diary is saying that I’m a serial killer.”

“Psychopath Diary” premieres on November 20 at 9:30 p.m. KST and will be available with English subtitles on Viki. In the meantime, check out the new teaser below!
