SEVENTEEN’s Kim Min Gyu Sends ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo A Coffee Truck On Set Of “Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung”


Supportive friend spotted: Kim Min Gyu cheers for Cha Eun Woo and his upcoming drama with a coffee truck!

97-line friends Kim Min Gyu of SEVENTEEN and Cha Eun Woo of ASTRO showed off their adorable and strong brotherhood in a series of photographs posted by the ASTRO member on the boy group’s Twitter account.

Cha Eun Woo, who is currently filming his upcoming drama Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung, expressed his gratitude towards Kim Min Gyu after the SEVENTEEN member sent a coffee truck to the set of the drama in support of the Astro member.

“Mingyu-ah, I ate well,” wrote the Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung actor, along with the hashtag “Thank you”. He also shared photos of him posing in front of the coffee truck and enjoying the drink.

The coffee truck was filled with delicious drinks for the cast and crew to enjoy while filming. Moreover, banners with supportive words for the Astro member, such as “Come here, Lee Rim! Coffee is here!” and “SEVENTEEN’s Min Gyu is cheering for Cha Eun Woo”, decorated the coffee truck.

97-line Friendship All the Way!

Both born in 1997, Kim Min Gyu and Cha Eun Woo are known to be good friends. They even form a group together with their fellow idols born on the same year which included GOT7’s BamBam and Yugyeom, BTS’ Jungkook, SEVENTEEN’s The8 and DK, and NCT’s Jaehyun,

In a guest appearance in Happy Together 4, the SEVENTEEN member admitted to initially having an awkward relationship with the ASTRO member where they spoke formally with each other.

However, as they were born in the same year and lived close to each other — not to mention, debuting in the same year — they overcame the awkwardness and formed a close relationship with each other.

In the same episode, Kim Min Gyu also shared that he felt burdened about their group of friends being labeled a group of “face geniuses”, a term used to describe good-looking individuals.

Meeting Princely Cha Eun Woo as Prince Lee Rim In July

Like his 97-line friends, Cha Eun Woo is currently busy with his activities particularly as an actor. The ASTRO member, who received much love as Do Kyung Seok in My ID is Gangnam Beauty, will once again showcase his acting skills through the MBC drama Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung.

He will take on the role of Prince Lee Rim in the drama which will premiere on July 17. The singer-actor will headline the drama together with Shin Se Kyung and Lee Ji Hoon.

Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung will air every Wednesday and Thursday at 9 p.m. KST.

The upcoming drama will serve as the third television drama of the ASTRO member. In 2017, he made his debut in a television drama through The Best Hit where he starred as MJ, a popular idol from Star Punch Entertainment. He acted alongside Cha Tae Hyun, Yoon Shi Yoon, Lee Se Young, and Kim Min Jae.

The following year, Cha Eun Woo starred in his first television drama as a leading actor through My ID is Gangnam Beauty. He played Do Kyung Seok in the drama opposite Im Soo Hyang who portrayed the female protagonist Kang Mi Rae.

My ID is Gangnam Beauty received positive reviews and commercial success, ending its run with an average viewership rating of 4.27 percent.

Additionally, Cha Eun Woo also received the Best New Actor and Hallyu Star Award for his portrayal of Do Kyung Seok at the 11th Korean Drama Awards.
