The first teaser posters feature the ever-charming Ong Seong Wu.
Eighteen Moments, the network’s newest youth drama, unveiled two posters highlighting youthful vibes and Ong Seong Wu’s visuals. The posters, released today, June 12, stimulated excitement and hyped-up anticipation for the upcoming series.
The coming-of-age drama follows the stories of young people as they face prejudices and deal with maelstrom of emotions even in mundane situations. It aims to depict real and deep emotions as experienced by young adults these days. Ong Seong Wu, in his first leading role, stars in the drama as eighteen-year-old Choi Joon Woo. He is living a life of solitude and has a hard time expressing his emotions.
In one of the posters, Ong Seong Wu captivates as he looks straight into the camera. His eyes express tenderness while blowing on the dandelion flower seeds. It gives off the warm atmosphere of a sunny day and conveys a message that just like the flower seeds, which are fragile against the winds, today’s youths are also growing up in a cruel world but are thriving and blooming despite the harsh environment.
The second poster shows the former WANNA ONE member, lying on a flower field looking up to the sky. The picture shows Seong Wu in a reflective mood. Moreover, the poster says “Once for everyone”: this evokes a sense of contemplation as someone navigates through life. It stirs curiosity and draws empathy as the drama tries to portray the emotions of young adults.
The production crew stated, “This summer, a youth drama will be coming your way which shows deep empathy and different emotions. Also, look forward to Ong Seong Wu’s performance in this drama, as he acted with his various charms.”
Actors Kim Hyang Gi, Shin Seung Ho, Kang Ki Young, Shim Yi Young, Kim Sun Young, Park Sung Geun, Heo Young Ji, ASTRO’s Moonbin, and more, join Ong Seong Wu in the cast. A behind-the-scenes video of the teaser production will be available on June 13 via jTBC and the network’s YouTube channel.
Eighteen Moments is set to air in July 22 at 9:30PM on jTBC, after the conclusion of The Wind Blows.
