BTS is making history history yet again with another achievement!
The most recent update of Billboard’s Top Soundtracks chart for the week ending on July 5 shows the BTS WORLD soundtrack making its debut on the chart in sixth place. The Top Soundtracks chart takes sales data that is compiled by Nielsen Music and ranks the top-selling soundtracks in the U.S. According to Billboard, this is the first time a K-pop soundtrack has made it to the chart.
The soundtrack was released for BTS WORLD, BTS’s mobile game with Netmarble, it features 14 songs as BTS singers together in a group, in units, and in collaborations with artists like Charli XCX, Zara Larsson, Juice WRLD, and label mate Lee Hyun.
The soundtrack is also excelling on other Billboard charts, debuting at No. 36 on the Top Album Sales chart, and No. 72 on the Billboard 200. On the Digital Song Sales chart, “Heartbeat” from the soundtrack debuted at No. 16.
